Today was sunny, hot and humid...we know we're in the south. We traveled 34 miles in the ICW the whole way -- a short day for us. Late morning we arrived at Osprey Marina in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We had stayed here a couple months ago on our way north. It's a great stop, reasonable fuel prices, $1 per foot dock rent, lovely floating docks and grounds, and the owners are friendly and helpful.
We got fuel and Ralph did some boat maintenance while I caught up on the phone with my sister and oldest daughter and did a whole lot of nothing. Mid-afternoon we had a thunderstorm of short duration. It's peaceful here and we were happy to sit inside with the AC on.
On the same dock with us are Jerry and Janet on "Wind Song" -- we met them last year in Campbellford, Ontario. They completed the Loop last September and have sold their home in Kansas and are now "full time cruisers" planning to spend the summer in the Chesapeake. Also here is the boat "When Pigs Fly" -- we met this couple in Joe Wheeler State Park, Alabama last year. Nice to see old friends again.
