TAKING SAY GOOD-BYE HOME

Hello again!  We're back aboard Say Good-Bye heading south from Jacksonville, FL to our homeport, Cape Coral.  Ralph has made arrangements with a broker in Ft. Myers to put her in an in-water boat show in November.

On Monday, October 21, 2013 we drove a one-way rental from home in Cape Coral to Lamb's Marina in JAX.  Our dear friends, Ken and Darla who have spent the summer at Lamb's, were very helpful with unloading our dolls and dishes from the car to the boat.  We  were so blessed that Ken was always willing to show the boat to prospective buyers for us.  Ken and Ralph moved the boat from a covered slip to the outside dock behind Ken's "Mosey," then attached the boom and  stepped the mast.  Thank you, again, Ken, we could not have done it without you.  And I personally thank Darla for all the tips about growing orchids -- hers are lovely.  We'll see how mine are once I get home (I want mine to be lovely too).  A few photos:

On Tuesday, October 22 we timed our departure from Lamb's Marina on the St. John River to catch the 9:00 AM opening of the CXS railroad bridge in downtown JAX.  The weather was gray and dreary and we experienced intermittent rain all day.  We traveled 50 miles and anchored near Ponte Vedra Beach for the night.

Here are a few of yesterday's photos:
